Johnny Madge is an olive oil expert and taster: He owns a wine bar in the medieval village of Casperia an hour north of Rome where he holds his "WINE, SINGING AND OIL" events.

He came to Italy in 1982 to study Baroque architcture in Rome, went to Carrara to learn to carve marble and later went to live in the olive groves of Sabina.

The focus in the wine bar, which is called GECKO 107, is on:
OLIVE OIL - at least two oils are always on the bar for tasting.
WINE - a carefull selection of Italian wine both local and from afar (Sicily, Dolomites...)
CHEESE - both local and from as far away as Val d'Aosta or Campania...
CURED MEATS - various different cured meats again both local and not.
